I completely forgot to include these pictures way back in September (probably b/c I went 6 weeks in-between posts!!), so I'm going to put them in now. William is in the Frog class this year & their mascot is Freckles, the stuffed frog. Every Friday, Freckles gets to go home with one of the students and they are supposed to take care of him & document his stay with pictures to go in his photo album. At the end of the year, they will have a photo journal of everything Freckles has gotten to do during the school year. William was picked to go first! He was SOOOOO excited. He had to make sure Freckles was buckled up in the van on the way home. It was his job to keep Freckles safe, you know ;-)
When we got home, it was time for lunch. William INSISTED I get out the strap-in booster that we keep around for our little friends who come to visit (and for those times when big kids can't sit still at the table!), so that Freckles could sit with us:
Note the food in front of him. William took his plate down to the basement himself to fix Freckles a plate. Did you know Frogs like french fries and potato chips?? And, William had to pour Freckles some "pretend juice" because "he's a pretend frog, Mommy!"
We went on a walk around the neighborhood & I offered Freckles to sit in the stroller next to Colin. William was insulted! It was HIS job to take care of Freckles, so if you look closely, you can see Freckles in his bag tied onto the handle bars of William's scooter:
Later in the day, the boys played in the backyard. I managed to convince my little man that Freckles was tired & wanted to watch from the window. I surely didn't want us to be the first ones to give Freckles a boo-boo:
And, then on Saturday, it was LSU game day! Around here, everyone wears their LSU gear on Saturdays when LSU plays. Colin was nice enough to loan Freckles an LSU outfit to wear:
Freckles yelled louder than anyone for the Tigers!!
On Sunday, Freckles got to go golfing with Daddy, William, Uncle Corey, and Drew. Boy, was Freckles excited!!

And, here is my "sweet" little man telling Daddy (in what was a VERY nice and polite way, I'm sure!) that he was done taking pictures!!
Overall, the weekend was a success & William was very happy to return Freckles to school and tell his class about the adventures they had. William got to be the "Star Student" and have his pictures up on the bulletin board, along with lots of fun facts about him. He also got to be the student helper all week long. He was quite proud of what a great job he did helping Mrs. Stricklin and Mrs. McCrave hand out snacks and crafts, watch the weather, and all of the other things they need help with throughout the day.
