Spiderman Skateboard...at last!

Anyone who's talked to William in the past 6 weeks knows he's been saving his money for a Spiderman Skateboard. They also know that it can be found at Target & costs EIGHTEEN dollars! William & Daniel have recently been put on a sort of allowance/reward system. They get quarters for helping Mommy to clean up, getting dressed/undressed without a hassle (i.e., Mommy doesn't have to yell or repeat herself more than once or twice!), putting their dishes away after a meal, etc. William has learned there are 4 quarters in a dollar & EXACTLY how long it takes to earn eighteen dollars. Well, Nana & Grandpa Sam sent the boys Easter cards & William especially was VERY excited to learn there was money in there!! It was enough for him to buy his skateboard, so off to Target we went. Here are the pics from the first day riding--Mommy wasn't outside, so excuse the no-helmet pics. The last one is from day two (note the helmet AND the knee pads)!!

I have to confess--I was doubtful he'd even be able to ride it. He's done GREAT! In typical William fashion, he's very cautious, but the 10-year-old boy who lives behind us may conquer that. He was showing William some tricks & William was fascinated. He now wants to learn now to go fast & put both feet on the board at the same time. Heaven help me! Here is an early video so you can get an idea of where he was at the beginning. I'll post one in a few weeks after Jameson (10-year-old neighbor) has gotten his hands on him!
