Good Friday, we drove over to Abbeville to my aunt & uncle's house. They live on the Vermillion River and have a huge deck out over the river. It's absolutely beautiful & the boys love being out there & running wild. We got to see a barge pass & it almost looked close enough to touch. Uncle Jimmy boiled crawfish for the whole extended family, so we got to see all of the aunts & uncles on my dad's side of the family as well as all of my cousins.
Here are the men getting the crawfish pot going:
Uncle Jimmy with his two helpers:
My Dad with his two brothers:
Nana and Grandpa Sam:
Me with my dad's sister, Aunt Cindy. People have always said Laura &I look a lot like her:
Several of my cousins:
Me and Colin with my cousin Tracy and her little one, Miles. Miles and Colin are 7 days, and only about 1/2 pound apart!!
Miles and Colin really liked each other. I'm not sure Colin knew exactly what Miles was, he's so used to hanging out with his brothers and their friends!
Look at this cutie-pie:
The big guys were obsessed with the pool table, and in true William fashion, by the end of the day, he could tell me exactly how the balls went in & why they came out where they did. They even ran a little experiment & put one of the kiddo toys down there to see what happened! Thankfully, we got it out with no damage. Phew!
And, some random cute snaps:
And, one TIRED little guy. I was amazed that he slept in the middle of all the noise we were making!
Overall, the crawfish were YUMMY, the company was fabulous, and the kiddos pretty well-behaved. A success!!
